ATM Transaction Failed Money Deducted - Complaint Letter to Bank

During the process of withdrawal of money from ATM if the cash was not received from the ATM machine but the amount got deducted from your bank account and subsequently you did not even receive any message from Bank regarding reversal of money back to your account, then you should lodge a complaint as soon as possible at the branch office of the bank.

The following format could be used for this purpose. Fill in necessary details of your bank account, the details of the exact ATM transaction and submit it at the branch office of bank. Do not mention ATM pin anywhere in the letter.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am a savings account holder in your bank's .........branch, bearing account number .................... On (date) at (time), I was trying to withdraw money of Rs. ......./- from your bank's ATM at (address), having ATM code no. ............. No cash came out of the ATM after going through all necessary options.

However, immediately I received a sms regarding the debit/deduction of amount from my account. I waited for some time to see if the amount got reversed back to my account, but no sms was received. I even took out a mini statement from the ATM for my account, wherein I again checked about the transaction. Clearly, the debit of amount was only reflecting but there was no reversal.



Therefore, I kindly request you to look into the matter and credit back the amount of Rs. ......./- to my account at the earliest.

Kindly do the needful and oblige.

    I wrote this complaint letter to the bank. They took around 3-4 days to reverse the money to my account. They also suggested that I can complain over phone to their customer care or just drop a message through their bank website contact us option.

  9. Today I booked 3 flight ticket from Goibibo and paid from phonepay the amount had been debited from my account but the merchant didn't receive any amount and cancelled my booking
    The amount which had been debited didn't get credit in account
    So what I can do get my money back
