NOC Letter Format for Change of Name in Electricity Bill

The No Objection Certificate (NOC) has to be obtained from the Landlord/ Owner/ Occupant/ Previous Registered Consumer of the premises, where electricity connection is given.

The NOC has to be submitted to the Electricity Board / Company while making an application for change of name for the electricity connection.

Here is a sample of such an NOC for change of name in electricity connection can be referred.

TEMPLATE

TO WHOMSOEVER IT MAY CONCERN

I, (Name), son/ daughter/ wife of (Name), aged ___ years, residing at (Full Address), do hereby solemnly affirm and declare as under:

1) that I am the present registered consumer of (Name of the Electricity Board / Company) having Consumer Number _________ and Billing Unit ______ for the (Address);

2) that I do hereby convey, on my own free will and wish, my consent and grant No Objection for accepting the request for Change of Name for the said Consumer Number in favour of (Name of the Person), son/ daughter/ wife of (Name), aged ___ years, residing at (address);

3) that I shall not hold (Name of the Electricity Board / Company) liable for any dispute or claim pertaining to Change of Name in favour of (Name of the Person);

4) that the said Change of Name is solely for the purpose of changing the name of electric connection and not for any other purpose;

5) that I have enclosed a self-attested copy of my Aadhar / Passport / Driving License as a proof of my identification for your kind records; and

6) that the above-mentioned statements are true and correct to the best of my knowledge and that I have not concealed any information in this regard.
