Sample Request Letter for Rejoining Company after Resignation

One may want to rejoin the previous company for different reasons, viz.

(i) the person could not find a better job as desirable after resigning, or

(ii) the hike of salary in the new job was very less compared to additional work pressure, or

(iii) the job location was very far from home causing too much travel during a day, or

(iv) the behavior of the boss and/or other colleagues was often quite unprofessional, or

(v) the overall work pressure was much more causing too much mental stress, or

(vi) shifted to another location after marriage but shifted back to the present location after few months, or

(vii) shifted to a location near to home to look after the family but now shifting back, or

(viii) previous company has grown big in the market - chances of better package is high, or

(ix) any health reasons causing the employee to remain absent from work for a long time, or

(x) any other reasons causing overall dissatisfaction with the new job or employer compared to the previous one.

Accordingly, depending upon the reason, the contents of your letter to the previous employer has to be drafted.

I am willing to take more assignments and be more proactive at work.
