Letter to Bank Manager for Refund of Charges (Template)

Sometimes, your banker may debit/deduct certain charges wrongfully from your account, in which case you should write to the bank manager for a refund of the amount.

These days, going to the branch office of the bank may not be necessary to submit a complaint letter.

You can call the customer care center of the bank or write an email as provided in the bank's website and lodge such complaints.

Following letters are the samples for lodging such complaints. Modify it suitably as needed in your case.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am maintaining a savings account bearing number ......................... in your bank at ............ branch. Recently, while going through the account statements for the last few months, to my surprise I noticed that your bank has been deducting some charges from my account.

After careful examination of the statements, I found out that the charges were relating to SMS alert services. I have never signed up for SMS alert services from the bank or given any written consent for such services and charges. I check my account regularly through the bank's mobile app, which is sufficient for me.

Therefore, I request you to kindly refund the charges to my above-mentioned savings account.
