Sample Apology Letter from Dog owner to Neighbor for Dog Bite

Generally, pet dogs are well trained by their owners or at the dog farm they were born and brought up initially and sold later on. Hence, the chances of such pet dogs biting anyone is very rare. Especially, because whenever they go outside of the owner's house they are always under the watch of the owners.

But, in case they bit someone because of any reasons, the dog owner should apologize to the person and also pay for his medical expenses. Exception: if a person was being rude to the dog and got bitten then the dog owner doesn't have to do anything.

Date: ..............

(Name of the Person)

Dear ............,

Please accept my sincere apologies for the incident today. My dog had never bitten any outsider in my knowledge so far. But for some reason she bit you. I know how traumatic an experience it is and what pain you must have endured; I am deeply sorry for this.

My dog has been trained to be calm and disciplined. He was trained before I bought it and I continue to train her almost everyday. She has also been vaccinated including the rabies vaccination. I am enclosing herewith her medical records for your kind information.

I would like to pay for your medical expenses incurred for this purpose. Please provide me with the copies of all the medical bills and any other expenses you might have incurred in this regard. I am ready to reimburse them all.

I am truly sorry that this happened to you. I know just paying the medical expenses can not take away your pain. I wish you speedy recovery and good health.

I assure you that I will be even more careful with the dog and will also take steps to make sure this type of incident does not happen again.

Thank you for your understanding!

(apology letter to neighbor for dog barking)

Dear .............,

We are truly sorry that our dog kept on barking at night since the last few days.

I know it must have been quite a botheration for you. This shouldn't have happened, especially, at night during the sleeping hours.

We have been trying our best to control him to keep his voice down at night. But it hasn't worked since the last few days for some reason.

I hope you will forgive him and us for this. We are gonna ensure that he keeps it down from now on.

Thank you for your understanding!

Kind Regards,
