Draft Letter to Bank for Transfer of CIF No. to Another Branch

CIF stands for Customer Information File. It comes with a unique number for each customer of the bank. CIF is a system wherein a customer's personal and his account(s) information is consolidated.

A customer who is desirous of transferring his account from one branch to another can request his banker to transfer his account to another branch along with transfer of CIF.

Here is a sample of a request letter to the bank manager for transfer of bank account and CIF to another branch of the bank.
