Letter Format for Cancellation of School Bus Service by Parents

Some students may not require the bus service anymore if they shift their residence along with their parents to a new location nearby the school. Otherwise, some parents may prefer their kids to travel by other mode of transport rather than traveling by a bus.

If the student is paying for school bus services, then in order to cancel it - his parents have to inform the appropriate school authority to cancel the bus service for their child so that they don't have to pay for it anymore.

Here is a sample of a letter from the parents to the Principal of the school to cancel the bus service for their child.

Respected Sir/Madam,

My daughter is a student of Class ___ and Section ___. Her roll number is ________. She currently avails the bus service provided by the school for pick and drop for which monthly payments are being made.

She needed the bus service because we were living in a distant location ___ kilometers far from the school. We recently shifted our residence to a location nearby the school. I will drop her at the school and pick her up later personally since we are now living so close to the school. Hence, she will not need the bus service anymore.

Therefore, kindly cancel her bus service subscription with immediate effect. The security deposit may kindly be refunded and please inform me of the reduced monthly school fee amount excluding the bus charge.
