Letter to Bank to Convert a Student Account to General Account

Some students open their bank accounts during their academic period, where the bank allows them to maintain their bank accounts with limited facilities even if they are minors in age.

After your education is over, or after you become a major in age, then you can write an application to the bank manager to make your account into a regular account with more facilities like net banking, cheque leaves, and other features.

Here is a sample of an application letter from a customer to the bank manager for upgrading his student account to a normal account with more facilities.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am maintaining a savings account bearing number _________ at your branch, which I had opened as a student during my graduation.

My account does not have much facilities enabled for it as I had opened it as a student with limited options. However, I am doing a job now in a company at (Place). Hence, I would like to get full facilities of the account with net banking and cheque leaves.

I am enclosing herewith the duly filled in application form, and copies of my identity proof and address proof for your information and records.

Therefore, I kindly request you to upgrade my savings account with other facilities that your bank is offering now. I shall be grateful.
