Recommendation Letter Format for Performance Appraisal

A letter of recommendation shall be written on behalf of the applicant by anyone who is able to vouch for his or her educational and professional qualifications.

In order to reward an employee with a performance appraisal, the boss of that employee can write a recommendation letter to the HR manager or his senior authority, wherein he has to explain the details of the good performance by the employee.

Here is an example of a letter of recommendation for rewarding an employee with a performance bonus.

I therefore propose that a performance bonus be considered for Ms. _________ because she is worthy of recognition and appreciation based upon her excellent work and dedication. I strongly believe it is vital that we reward people like her who are doing more than our targets in order to encourage them to work harder. It is my pleasure to point out that, in times when many of our competitors are having declining sales, we have been able to achieve good results.

It is always worth remembering that good employees do not come easily. We need to reward them for their high performance when we have such hard working, loyal and inspiring assets in our organization. It will serve as a stimulus for making more efforts towards increased sales.
