Permission Letter to Police Station for Marriage Procession

In order to reduce noise pollution and especially to avoid any inconvenience to the public, the government has made laws to restrict the use of loudspeakers and public address systems between certain times in a day.

permission letter to police station for marriage processionIn certain cases, considering an exceptional situation - the police may allow such usage only if the party obtains prior permission for it from the appropriate authority.

Many marriages in India are conducted between late night till early morning and hence the procession of the groom's family and friends starts late at night and continues until midnight and beyond. It would be advisable to take advance permission from the police. Otherwise, the police have the right to stop the procession at any time. In some cases, police may not allow use of loudspeakers in procession after a certain time, e.g. after 10 p.m.
