Stray dogs in a locality can be the cause of a variety of issues affecting the normal life of the residents of that locality. These issues may not only cause hurdles in keeping the harmony of the locality but also may become the reason for health hazards of humans.

A resident of such a locality, where stray dogs are causing problems, may write to the municipal commissioner or any other concerned authority seeking appropriate solution on the matter.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am a resident of the _________ locality. I would like to bring to your goodself's kind attention about the rising menace of stray dogs in our locality.

For the last few months, I have been noticing that the stray dogs on the streets and corners of our locality have been causing trouble from time to time on a regular basis.

Some of the common problems caused by these stray dogs are mentioned hereunder.

• Traffic accidents - Stray dogs causing a collision with vehicles when they suddenly run into the road; resulting in injury to the humans, the dogs and the vehicle.

• Noise pollution - Barking and howling by the dogs continuously whether during daytime or night; causing disturbance in the lives of the local residents.

• Dog attacks - If any pedestrians try to scare the dogs away from them out of annoyance, sometimes they are bitten. This results in a serious health hazard to the people.

• Feces garbage - Dog feces can be seen and found at various places on the road and on some other places where the locals operate; causing sanitation issues for the respective residents.

• Scary times - Especially, when the kids are walking or playing around the locality, they get very scared by sudden outburst from the dogs, which can be fatal at certain times.

• Disease - Stray dogs can transfer and spread among humans a deadly disease called Rabies. Hence, before such instances occur, we must endeavor to avoid it.
