Bank's Letter to Customs Department with AD code of Customer

AD code is the short for Authorised Dealer code. AD code is allotted by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to banks for each of its branches in which remittances for exports are received or proposed to be received.

Letter from Bank to Customs department for providing AD code of customerDuring the submission of the shipping bill with the customs office, the organisations are required to mention the AD code of the bank's branch where they have an account and where the export remittances are going to be received.

In case, a customer has requested for an issue of AD code for registration with Customs department because of some export of goods or other purposes, the bank has to issue the letter at the earliest possible.

The banker has to follow the format prescribed by the bank or the format given by the customer, which would cover all the required information needed to be provided in the letter.

The said letter from the bank could be as per the format given hereunder.
